Head of Music (Maternity Cover)

The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an inspirational teacher and leader to join our team as Head of Music, to cover a maternity leave. Our Music department is a vibrant environment for students to learn music through both practical and theory. Students engage with music in various ways, whether through the curriculum at KS3 and KS4, individual music lessons given by specialist music teachers, or engaging with performance opportunities such as our annual Carol Service.
This a full-time maternity cover contract, starting in April 2025 (exact start date to be agreed with the successful candidate). The salary for this role is MPS/UPS plus TLR 2A (£3,583).

Torquay Girls’ Grammar School is a girls’ 11 to 18 selective Single Academy Trust (SAT) in Torquay, Devon.
