Music Teacher – Inspire Creativity and Musical Excellence
We’re seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic secondary school, known for its commitment to fostering creativity, resilience, and academic excellence. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver engaging Music lessons: Teach across KS3 and KS4, covering a range of topics from music theory and history to performance and composition, encouraging students to explore their musical potential.
- Cultivate a love for music: Inspire students through a hands-on, interactive approach to music education, including vocal work, instrument practice, and digital music composition.
- Lead extracurricular activities: Direct school choirs, bands, and ensembles, fostering a community of enthusiastic young musicians and providing opportunities for public performances and competitions.
- Prepare students for exams: Support GCSE Music students with focused exam preparation, practical assessment guidance, and targeted feedback.
- Collaborate with a dedicated Performing Arts team: Work closely with a team passionate about the arts, sharing ideas and resources to enrich the music curriculum and extracurricular programme.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Music: Proven experience delivering Music at the secondary level, inspiring students with varied levels of musical experience.
- Passionate and energetic: A love for music and education, committed to creating an environment where students can thrive and express themselves.
- Excellent classroom management: Ability to build a positive, focused atmosphere that nurtures creativity and respect.
- Skilled in both traditional and digital music: Competency in using digital music software to enhance learning experiences, while being comfortable with traditional methods.
- A collaborative team player: Thrives in a setting that values teamwork and open communication within the department and wider school community.
