Your New Role
As the Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in integrating risk management into strategic decision-making processes. You will work independently and collaboratively with key stakeholders to maintain and enhance the hospital's risk management framework.Your responsibilities will include supporting the Risk Register, facilitating the Risk Committee, and delivering training and advice on risk management processes. Additionally, you will lead risk assurance programs, provide independent assurance over risk controls, and develop action plans to strengthen risk management.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Education/Qualifications: Relevant professional qualifications in risk management or significant experience at a senior level. A degree in health science or a related field is desirable.
Experience: Proven experience in risk management within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with SAI360 or similar risk management software. Experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, delivering training sessions, and producing complex reports.
Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of risk management principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in general IT software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email) and good written and communication skills.
Personal Characteristics: Ability to prioritise workload based on the severity and frequency of issues, agree on appropriate timescales with operations, and escalate risk information as needed. Preparedness to undertake additional training and stay updated with current legislation and guidance in the field of risk.
