ICT Technical Support Officer

£33,366- £37,938 per annum

Hybrid working contract

37 hours per week

2 year fixed term contract

It’s an exciting time for the Technology and Information Services team, the Council is reliant more than ever on technology to both improve the services it provides to citizens and to support staff in digital transformation, achieving efficiencies for a fit for the future organisation.

The ICT Technical Support Officer role is a pivotal part of our ICT service delivery. You will be part of a small team delivering a responsive IT Service Desk function supporting our staff and members with efficient problem resolution, advice, support and requests for service as well as project work contributing to implementation of our ICT Strategy.

We are looking for an individual with an excellent customer service and communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to manage their workload in an organised and efficient manner to meet SLA’s and internal deadlines. You will have a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, be resourceful and be able to work using your own initiative, contributing effectively to the team.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in an IT support role, be ITIL aware with excellent knowledge in technologies such as Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft 365, Entra/Active Directory/Azure and Intune, VMware ESXi/Horizon View and a good understanding of Cyber Security and associated technologies.

This is a hybrid working position with time split between office and home working however flexibility is essential. The successful candidate will be offered appropriate equipment but must have a fast and stable internet connection and a suitable home working environment.
