The Service Manager for Digestive Diseases Care Group will be an administrative manager and leader and will provide general management and business support to Digestive Diseases Care Group on the North Bank. The Service Manager will be responsible to and supported by the Senior Service Manager

Main duties of the job
The Service Manager will have delegated responsibility for the management of identified personnel, resources and projects, and will ensure that those resources are managed efficiently and effectively, and that any projects are delivered on time and within budget.
As part of the senior team within the Group, the Service Manager will be jointly responsible for ensuring that the objectives of the Care Group are achieved, whilst also ensuring that the Group functions as an integral part of the Partnership as a whole.
The Service Manager together with the Senior Service Manager, General Manager, Senior General Manager and Clinical Lead will be responsible for the patient pathways within Digestive Diseases ensuring that all operational performance targets are monitored, tracked, and delivered.In doing so, they provide leadership to, and management of, the performance and capacity team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Specialist knowledge of health service business/operation al management or project management qualification/experi ence acquired through a degree or equivalent experience, plus further staff or and Leadership qualification Page 4 of 5 business/operation al management experience equivalent to post graduate level.

Essential criteria- Relevant NHS management experience
- Staff management experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of NHS policies and strategies relevant to the post
- Keyboard and computer skills
- Knowledge of computerised software packages including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the NHS directly related to the main duties of the post.
- Evidence of achievements working in a complex environment.
- Evidence of performance management and meeting challenging targets.
- Knowledge of Trust Care Records System (CRS)
