Female Support Worker

The person you will support is looking for an individual who is reliable and motivated. The ideal candidate would be bubbly and outgoing character with a can do attitude, to provide support for the individual and promote the clients daily living alongside another member of the team on a 2;1 or 1;1 basis when required.

The person you will be supporting lives in an adapted bungalow property with the family living next door.

The client has complex care needs and physical disabilities due to an accident.

The client is looking for someone to support them being involved in day to day activities and therapies. Assisting with personal care and moving and handling.

The things the client likes to do include music, hydrotherapy, cinema & going out on activities. The client needs someone to assist with trying various activities to suite their needs, whilst ensuring their dignity, safety and wellbeing is maintained.

The client requires assistance with promoting personal care/hygiene, personal safety and wellbeing.

Previous experience working within care is essential, and full training and support will be given.

Desirable to have experience with complex care needs, PEG, Suctioning

You will also be required to write detailed notes daily

Hours of work

An average of 30 hours per week

Covering 2 x nights shifts per week 8pm – 8am plus daytime hours throughout the month to make up the average number of weekly hours.

Rates of Pay

Weekday £12.17 per hour

Weekend £12.17 per hour

Night Rate (weekday) £12.17 per hour

Night Rate (weekend) £12.17 per hour

Bank Holiday Rate £24.34 per hour

Sleep-in rate £10.42 per hour

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
