An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to join a growing and highly respected SME based in Andover. This is a critical leadership role within a dynamic, fast-paced business supplying specialist rental equipment to major industrial sectors across the UK.

The Role
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for the full finance function, reporting directly into senior management. Leading a small, dedicated team, you will manage day-to-day operations as well as provide strategic financial guidance to support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Deliver timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards
- Monitor cash flow, manage investments, and oversee foreign exchange transactions
- Lead financial planning to support strategic business initiatives
- Ensure tax compliance and manage relationships with auditors and external advisors
- Drive operational efficiencies through sound financial controls and policies
- Provide strategic insight and recommendations to senior leadership
- Implement and manage asset finance and ERP systems
Requirements
Candidate Profile- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in SME finance leadership, ideally within a capital equipment or rental business
- Proven ability to manage the finance function independently
- Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software
- Commercially minded, proactive, and confident communicator
