We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the corporate nursing team in the role of Director of Nursing for Community Health Services in East London (Tower Hamlets and Newham). You will provide high level professional, strategic and clinical leadership.We are seeking an innovative, inspiring, dynamic and authentic nursing leader who will join the nursing leadership team to support the operational directorates in achieving their objectives ensuring that staff are supported to be curious, compassionate and innovative in their work with service users, colleagues, carers and other stakeholders, internal and external.
The individual will need extensive operational and leadership experience of running services with experience of community health.
The successful candidate will need to be an autonomous, credible clinical nurse with the ability to self-manage and respond to complex professional, leadership and managerial issues both within the organisation and within the North East London Integrated Care System.
You will work with a small director of nursing team who hold responsibility for some corporate functions, and the professional development and leadership of the nursing profession and practice across the trust.
You will be required to work in partnership with care and system leaders and influence and develop effective care pathways

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Second Nursing Qualification Specialist Nursing Qualification Nurse Practitioner Recognized management training Trained in QI Nonmedical prescriber
- Registered Nurse (RN) Valid NMC registration Leadership development training
- Full Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council ( NMC) as a Nurse
- Educated to Masters level
- Have a demonstrable experience of senior professional, clinical and management
- A demonstrable record of continuing professional development and relevant post graduate qualification or training in specialist knowledge and skills
- Management qualification, MBA or equivalent extensive experience
Knowledge & Skills
Essential criteria- Knowledge and understanding of the NHS long term strategies and the opportunities for redesigning services and optimising the workforce
- Knowledge and experience of collaborating with external organisations, both NHS and non-NHS providers whilst being politically aware of the broader healthcare environment
- Evidence of knowledge and application of current best practice in professional area including understanding of current policy, legislation and practice in relation to health and own allied health profession
- The ability to work strategically and have the vision to develop best practice
- A demonstrable ability to interpret complex information and advice or take necessary action. To be able to analyse need and recommend and implement change / management systems
- Excellent writing skills and ability to produce focussed, detailed reports for presentation to the Executive and Board
