Maths Tutor - Teaching Personnel
Are you an data-driven, calculations expert in the field of Mathematics? Do you want the opportunity to work with the next generation of mathematicians? If you are a fully qualified Maths Teacher or Tutor who is looking to work on a part-time basis in the N18 area, then this role may be for you!
We are looking for an ambitious, compassionate and driven Maths tutor to fill this role. As a tutor, you will need to be able to build a relationship with this student to help tailor your approach to cater for their additional needs and preferences.In addition to this, you will need to deliver GCSE level content at an acceptable level and engage well with a small group of Year 11 students.
The role has a multitude of different options for session times and dates, which are listed below:
- After school provision Mon-Fri
- Before school provision Mon-Fri
- 1 hour per day twice a week (over lunch and tutor time)
- 1 hour per day Monday-Friday (over lunch and tutor time)
The pay for tutoring is £25-£30 per hour. It is desirable for the applicants to hold full UK driving licence as a selection of the pupils will need to be tutored within their home/at a local library.
Requirements for the role:
- Professional Teaching Qualifications are preferred (Qualified Teacher Status, QTS).
- An excellent grasp of the English Language.
- A desire to promote and encourage, as well as motivate themselves.
- An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).
- A strong subject knowledge of the Maths Curriculum.
- Experience of working with young people and delivering GCSE level content.
- Professional references from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
