The role:
Bright Heart Education are urgently seeking an experienced KS3 maths tutor with excellent written and spoken English who is available to tutor in Barnes - experience working with students with SEN is strongly desired.
Scheduling: 1hr / week (alternating subjects each week or starting with maths first) Weekdays between 4.45 pm till 7 pm, Thursdays are preferred days.
Successful candidates will be provided with further information and guidelines on the Bright Heart Approach and relevant training for working with SEN students.
Benefits of the role
You will be working as a self-employed, part-time tutor, so you can choose which clients/students you wish to provide tuition to. Based on client demand, we are ideally looking for tutors who are looking to tutor at least 12 hours per week (and have good opportunities for those wishing to tutor many hours each week).Bright Heart provides its tutors with opportunities for professional development, including the potential for an employment contract if of interest.

Key qualifications
All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and a current Enhanced DBS certificate (with a check of the children’s barred list) before commencing any tutoring assignments (we can apply on behalf of a candidate if not currently held).Candidates must also provide 2 relevant professional references and a parent reference. Candidates who have lived / worked overseas in the last 5 years will also need to provide certain overseas checks, including a police certificate.

In addition, candidates should have:
- At least 12 months of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Strong subject knowledge in their tuition subject(s)
- University qualification or studying towards one and A-levels
- Passion for teaching and their tuition subject(s)
- SEN tuition/teaching experience and a passion for working with students with SEN
