Role Overview:
As a Receptionist at The Pinnacle Bouldering Centre and Clip 'n’ Climb Northampton, you will be the welcoming face of the centre, inspiring customers to return and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience from the moment they walk through the door.You’ll manage the reception area with confidence, tidiness, and efficiency, contributing to the centre’s reputation as the best climbing venue in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction- Greet and Assist Visitors: Ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
- Handle Telephone Communications: Answer and make calls confidently and efficiently.
- Maintain Reception Area: Keep the area clean, tidy, and organized.
- Process Bookings and Payments: Manage reservations, payments, and inquiries both in-person and over the phone.
- Manage Group Bookings and Events: Organize and oversee group bookings, birthday parties, and other events.
- Assist with Shop Stock and Sales: Help organize and sell shop stock.
- Support Management with Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative assistance as needed.
- Ensure Cleanliness Throughout Centre: Maintain cleanliness in the reception, kitchen, and other areas of the centre.
- Manage Customer Communications: Handle online customer interactions, including emails and social media messages.
Skills & Experience:
Required:
- Previous reception or customer service experience
- Interest in climbing or sports
- Team player, with a positive attitude and a passion for people
Desired:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic booking and/or EPOS software (RGP preferred)
Personal Attributes:
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Quick learner with attention to detail and the ability to ask for help when needed

Expected Hours: 20-40 hours per week (day shifts, weekends, holidays)
