Continuous Improvement Specialist - Gi Group
Our client are seeking a Continuous Improvement to use innovative methods to create Best-In-Class systems and methods in both manufacturing and business systems. Contribute to KPI and financial performance of the business by leading teams to achieve optimal results.

Mon - Thur - 7.45AM - 16.45PMFri - 7.45AM - 12.45PM
PAY RELATED TO THE EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate to assess the current state of the Plant's operations, develop future state vision and implementation plan
- Champion plant CI at all times and engages people with plant goals and activities.
- Support with Value Stream Analysis (current and future state)
- Deliver Lear training modules
- Identifies barriers to project success & proactively solicits help from champions
- Drive multifunctional teams to robustly resolve issues and work collaboratively
- Assist in locating Best-in-Class Operations processes, and then implement them into the Plant
- Support other C.I initiatives, including best practice implementation, when striving to improve Business Metrics
- Active support in Team Improvement Circles program as a circle coach
- Champions the plant kaizen competition with regular reviews, events and celebration
- Champions sitewide CI systems (including 5S, Suggestions and standard work confirmation). Maintain control of these systems and kaizen for Best-In-Class performance
- Use standard tracking and reporting systems to prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely project/task completion
- Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-In-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow and Cost
- Supports Central CI activity and cascades to Redditch plant
- Accountability to impact on operational and financial performance
- Shows morale courage, openness and honesty in all dealings
- Assertive, resilient and welcomes change whole-heartedly
- Any other duties and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy the customers' needs.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:- Previous experience of working in an automotive environment.
- Challenges the status quo and innovates for best possible solutions
- Project management skills for medium term projects
- Computer literate
- Previous working experience of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing
- Grasp and resolve operational problems quickly as part of a team.
- Analytical and inquisitive mindset
- Data driven decision making
- Proactive in all aspects of work
Preferred
- Level 6 qualifications (degree equivalent) in Science, Mathematics or Engineering discipline
- Yellow belt six sigma
- Working knowledge of health and safety (including ergonomics)
- Past participation in a kaizen team or TIC.
- Level 3 qualifications (A Level equivalent)
