DWF are currently hiring for a Project Manager to work within the change Management function.

As a project Manager you will be accountable for the management of resources within assigned projects to deliver their projects to agreed time, cost and quality constraints.

The projects assigned to the Project Manager will typically be, medium in size and complexity ie. scope, cost and the number of stakeholders. Projects will be identified and assigned by the Digital Transformation Portfolio Manager; they will support business strategy and may be high in profile.

The Project Manager will be expected to manage several projects at the same time.

Your role will be a fixed term contract lasting 12, months based in the Manchester office, on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively plan, manage, and execute high-profile change initiatives, ensuring they adhere to specified timeframes, budgets, and standards while communicating effectively and managing risks.
  • Continuously monitor progress across multiple projects, maintaining clear objectives and customer requirements, and ensuring that all deliverables meet specified quality standards.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior stakeholders, keeping them informed about project progress, milestones, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports to allow Project Board members to make informed decision.
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders, including the Business Owner, Project Boards, Project Team, and third parties, ensuring they are promptly informed of
  • any changes to the project's status.
  • Identify all project dependencies and risks, ensuring they are effectively managed and that appropriate mitigation or contingency plans are in place.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal Operations, HR, Finance, Group Change, and Integrations, to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes. Support change management activities, including input into business communications and training material.
  • Ensure project budgets are managed and tracked against ROI and that any deviations are escalated.
  • Identify and allocate resources required to deliver projects, submitting clearly defined resource requests through the appropriate channel.
  • Investigate, escalate and ensure that all project issues are effectively resolved.
  • Support change management activities, including input into business communications and training material.
  • Effectively manage vendors, ensuring timely delivery of services, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with contractual agreements.

What will help you succeed in this role? :

Experience:

  • Previous experience with managing finance related projects, preferably in a law firm or legal services environment.
  • Knowledge of data management and APIs within cloud- based finance systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Prince2, Agile or equivalent project delivery methodology.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, budgeting, and resource allocation.

  • Adept at identifying and mitigating project risks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to tailor style and content accordingly.
  • Strong attention to detail, together with a logical and tenacious approach to problem solving.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Passionate about exceeding customer expectations and improving service levels.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
