Main duties of the job
To assist the Chief Pharmacist and Principal Pharmacists in developing and maintaining the pharmaceutical service to Velindre NHS Trust to ensure that it is safe, efficient in the use of resources and complies with the Clinical Governance requirements of the Trust.
To be the pharmacy lead for all issues relating to antimicrobial usage and infection control. To plan, lead and deliver a highly specialised pharmacy service across Velindre Cancer Centre to promote responsible, legal, safe and cost-effective use of anti-infective agents by optimising clinical outcomes, minimising adverse reactions and errors and limiting the development of anti-infective resistance and hospital acquired infections.
