Job Title: Paragon Planner
Location: Heywood
Full-time: 4 on 4 off nights (Training on days initially) 6 month secondment. (Potential to move to permanent role)

Salary: £30,198.53 - £37,748.16

The Paragon Planner is responsible for optimising and managing transportation routes using Paragon planning software, ensuring efficient and cost-effective deliveries.

Position Summary: You will learn the basis of the scheduling and planning functions and how utilise the company's resources efficiently, in a cost-effective manner with our day team. Moving to the night planning team when training is complete.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily planning using the Paragon software to the optimum level and in line with the requirements of the transport department, whilst ensuring legal compliance
  • Creation of daily planning projects ensuring all unique daily requirements are incorporated
  • Ensure all Fleet controller communications are switched on and functioning correctly i.e. tracking, e-mail etc.
  • Resolve any outstanding Salesforce tasks ensuring the correct level of approval and compliance is adhered to
  • Work with the above teams to provide the best operational solutions, with the appropriate level of agreements. On both a daily operational and strategic basis
  • Ensure clear and detailed handover to the Transport and Warehouse teams
  • Consistently look to improve the planning process and reduce planning time where possible

Qualifications:

Technical competencies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is an advantage
  • Good numerical reasoning and logical thinking skills
  • Systems oriented, analytical approach
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a systematic way
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
  • General transport knowledge, within a customer driven environment an advantage
