We are seeking a Communications Manager that will help translate and amplify that story, creating a strategy and authentic, compelling content to grow the Duke CE brand and the profiles of senior leadership, whilst providing data analysis to optimize the impact of our communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Content Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and implement content and social media strategies that align with business goals.
  • Draft external email campaigns for leadership insights, product offerings, regional campaigns, events, etc.
  • Create a variety of content, including articles, client case studies, press releases, podcasts and digital materials.

Public Relations:

  • Support thought leadership and social media content creation for Duke CE, as well as Duke CE’s CEO and President.
  • Collaborate with the CMO to shape PR strategy and craft media pitches for Tier 1 and Tier 2 publications.
  • Build relationships with key media contacts to drive global and regional coverage.

Editorial Calendar Management:

  • Build and maintain an editorial calendar aligned with marketing initiatives and business needs.

Content and Brand Consistency:

  • Develop a distinctive brand voice and ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Produce thought leadership and research materials that establish Duke CE as a market leader.
  • Lead workshops or develop guides as needed to provide guidance and direction to internal organization.

Content Creation and Enhancement:

  • Create and manage client case studies showcasing Duke CE’s value proposition.
  • Incorporate multimedia elements to boost engagement across marketing channels.
  • Support the production of digital, video, audio, and print content, providing input on themes, content, and script writing.

SEO and Analytics:

  • Optimize all content according to SEO best practices to increase web traffic and engagement.
  • Leverage data from marketing platforms, refining strategies based on insights.
  • Report metrics and insights to business leaders.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Legal Compliance:

  • Work with internal teams to ensure cohesive branding and thought leadership across channels.
  • Ensure all content adheres to legal standards, including copyright and data protection laws.

Innovation and Industry Awareness:

  • Stay updated on business and leadership development trends to generate innovative ideas for B2B audiences.

Event Planning Support:

  • Participate in event planning, creating briefings and scripts that align with themes, speakers’ needs, and audience interests.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete allocated deliverables for team and organizational projects.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.

This role can be based in London, UK or Durham, NC, USA

Requirements

You will be a creative professional adept in content optimization and brand consistency, with a keen eye for detail, the ability to thrive under pressure and communicate across levels of an organization. You will ideally have worked at a small evolving company or a start-up and have a flexible and agile approach, being willing to roll up your sleeves to get important work done, operationally and strategically in addition to having:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least five years of experience in global communications, with demonstrated expertise in B2B content strategy and digital content creation.
  • Proven ability to produce engaging content that drives thought leadership and organizational growth.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills across digital ecosystems and other mediums (e.g., live event scripting, ghostwriting).
  • Proficiency in marketing platforms such as HubSpot and WordPress, and experience in supporting digital marketing projects with graphic and video content.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, user experience, and basic web development practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively in a detail-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
