Digital Communications Officer

Plan digitally based communication activities that are responsive to internal staff and external customers, balancing the need for proactive service development and the reactive demand of operational responsibilities. Influence and persuade committees and staff on appropriate digital communication approaches.
Possess a political awareness and understanding of the complex NHS and political issues and changing strategic situations and adapt messages on digital channels accordingly. Support delivery of the mechanisms to deal with digital internal and external web and social media enquiries, ensuring a responsive service to internal and external customers.
In responsive situations (major reputational issue), participate in the communication departments wider communication enquiry service. Maintain structure, content, functionality and accessibility of the health boards digital communication channels including websites, Intranet and social media; ensuring accuracy and that accessibility and navigation are compliant with recognised web usability and accessibility standards.
