The Role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources within the school. This is a key leadership role, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, fostering a positive workplace culture, and supporting staff recruitment and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all HR functions, including oversight of recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, employment law, and school policies.
  • Provide guidance on HR best practices, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in areas of payroll administration
  • Manage staff records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with the Principal to ensure appropriate training and professional development programmes are available for staff.
  • Support school leadership with strategic HR planning and workforce development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in an HR managerial role, preferably within the education sector.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR-related accreditation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience within the independent education sector would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment and support a diverse workforce.
