Teacher of Mathematics - One year fixed term contract
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher of Mathematics to join our successful department. You will have a passion and ambition for your subject and the skills to engage students across the age and ability range. You will enjoy working as an integral part of our established, high-achieving department.
This post is offered as a one-year fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave. Due to the continuing development of the faculty, there may be opportunities for future permanent employment.
Applications are welcome from teachers of KS3/4 as well as those who have experience of teaching KS5. Mathematics is extremely popular and successful at Parmiter’s, with over 200 Sixth Form students studying Mathematics or Further Mathematics at A level.Suitably qualified candidates with the experience or aspiration to teach A-level Mathematics will have the opportunity to join the KS5 teaching team.
The successful candidate will be welcomed into a department of highly experienced and supportive teachers.
Ofsted (2024) commented that (pupils) “are active participants in their learning and consistently demonstrate high levels of focus … teachers are experts in the subjects they teach … pupils’ conduct and manners are exemplary … any disruption to learning is incredibly rare… staff are extremely positive about the support that they receive from leaders…particularly around their professional development and well-being”.The inspection included a deep dive into several subjects including Maths.
