Hours: 22.5 per week, 3 days out of 7 inc. Bank Holidays working 08:00-16:00 or 14:00-22:00. 12 months fixed term/ secondment.

Main duties of the job

As part of the Early Intervention Community Team the Band 3 Administrator will work alongside the existing Administrator, Senior Administrator, Clinical Team Leads and Locality Ops Manager in supporting the Early Intervention Community Team activities.

The Early Intervention Community Team is looking for an enthusiastic and well motivated individual to join a busy office and become a member of a dynamic service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a good level of general education with good communication and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and process work accurately.

You will need to be computer literate with a working knowledge of window based computer packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

The post will involve a range of general admin and clerical support including data entry, copy typing, filing, answering the telephone, receiving referrals and using clinical systems such as RiO, MAPS and e-Procurement.

Essential criteria
  • GCSE English Grade C or above or equivalent/or equivalent experience
  • GCSE Maths Grade C or above or equivalent/or equivalent experience
  • ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
  • NVQ Level 3, Diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Previous experience of administration and clerical work
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of filing systems

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to communicate to a high level with a wide range of people
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with service users who may be distressed, emotional and/or verbally aggressive
  • Proven Customer Care skills
  • Ability to handle people in a courteous and sensitive manner, taking into account individual needs
  • Able to multitask, prioritise workload & use own initiative and good time management skills
