Birmingham Healthy Minds is a team of psychological therapists and practitioners working within and IAPT setting across Birmingham. We are now seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated administrator to join the Birmingham Healthy Minds teams based in the East of the City.

You will provide an effective, efficient, and confidential administrative service to support the clinical team. There is a need to be able to work within a busy work environment with accuracy and to tight deadlines. You will work closely with a small admin team, yet need to have the ability to prioritise your workload and act on your own initiative is essential.

Applicants should have good communication & organisational skills, experience of using Microsoft Office with excellent typing speed and accuracy, it is a requirement to have Maths and English qualifications, so please ensure to add into your application form.

Experience of using IAPTus and RIO would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job
  • To undertake a range of administrative and clerical duties to support the work of Birmingham Healthy Minds..
  • To act as first point of contact for patients and visitors to the Team including fielding calls and taking and disseminating messages.
  • To service outpatient clinics utilising both Trust patient information and in-house systems.
  • To undertake general administrative duties to assist the wider administrative and multidisciplinary teams in carrying out their duties.
  • To provide cover for colleagues when required to include working at any base across Birmingham to meet service needs.
  • To work flexible hours including weekends and evenings to meet the needs of the Service

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office applications
Desirable criteria
  • IAPTus/RIO or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a mental health environment / NHS environment

Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.
