Laurie is a full-time wheelchair user who thrives on meaningful connections, engaging activities, and a person-cantered approach to care.This is a part-time role, with flexible shift options and opportunities for additional hours, including weekends.

What You’ll Be DoingAs Laurie’s Personal Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in her daily life by: ✔ Providing respectful personal care, supporting her with hygiene, dressing, and daily routines

✔ Encouraging independence, helping Laurie make choices and take part in activities she enjoys

✔ Supporting her mobility, including safe moving and handling, guided by her physiotherapy plan

✔ Enhancing communication, using a total communication approach (objects of reference, Makaton, body language, facial expressions, tone of voice, posture, and Widget symbols)
✔ Following specialist guidance from Speech and Language Therapists (SLT), Physiotherapists, and other professionals to ensure the best support
✔ Bringing fun and companionship, whether at home or at the Arts & Crafts Centre

✔ Creating a calm, safe environment, recognising and responding to Laurie’s cues and sensory needs

  • Positions Available: 2x Female PAs (18 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours)
  • Shift Options: Choose two 9-hour shifts from the schedule below:
  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Hourly Pay:
  • Weekdays: £12.40 (gross) per hour
