They provide consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
Your new role
This role would suit a candidate with previous Company Secretarial and management experience and will be vital in supporting the Company Secretarial Team in the smooth running of the team while also carrying out a range of governance related work in supporting the organisations' regulated and unregulated legal entities.
A typical day in the role would involve assisting the Company Secretarial team in capacity and resource planning, training and performance management and acting as a point of escalation for junior team members. The role would also involve balancing a portfolio of typical Board/Committee governance and legal entity management activities such as meeting administration, signatory and Power of Attorney management, company filings and responding to regulatory or audit information requests.
A successful candidate working within our busy but valued team will gain exposure to working with both our senior Executives and Non-Executive Board members. The candidate would gain experience of both regulated legal entity governance and management of non-regulated entities.The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a full spectrum of projects from regulatory change implementation to entity liquidations and incorporations. The Company Secretarial team have interactions with almost every business, product and function, giving a ‘birds' eye view’ of the firm.
What you'll need to succeed- Previous Company secretarial experience is essential.
- Formal or informal management experience would be desirable.
- Experience in financial services in either in-house or experience working with financial services clients, would be an advantage.
- Minute-taking skills are essential.
- Meeting management skills are essential.
- Attention to detail
- Works well as part of a multi-jurisdictional team and the ability to travel if required
- Works well under pressure
- “No surprises” approach to communicating issues
- Strong influencing skills
- Holding chartered status from the Governance Institute (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators - ICSA) would be an advantage.
