Family Support Worker
An opportunity has arisen for a number of Family Support Workers to join Bury Children’s Services. Positions are available in the My Home (Fostering) Service.
We are looking for 2 Family Support Workers to join our new Special Guardianship Support Team.
You could be part of this exciting development working alongside carers and our existing connected carer team to develop exactly what carers need to support them.
We are ideally looking for staff with some therapeutic background and experience of working with children who have been in care as we recognise that out children have experienced considerably more early life difficulties than most children.
The team will organise and deliver some training as well as support families who need it.
The post offers the chance to contribute to high quality service delivery, to further develop strong partnership/cross service working and, in collaboration with their team, innovate and build on the good practice that is already in place.
The My Home Team in Bury is lively and interesting and would ideally suit Family Support Workers who are proactive and adaptable, and who have a passion for ensuring that Children and Families in our area receive a positive and timely first experience of our service.The work is immensely rich and varied day to day and allows for multi-agency working.

Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week, worked throughout the year.
