We are seeking a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join a Specialist Pupil Referral Unit in Caerphilly, providing essential support to students who require a different approach to learning

The Ideal Candidate- Strong behaviour management skills: You must be confident in, managing difficult behaviours and capable pf setting firm but fair boundaries.
- Resilience and patience: Working with student who may have complex needs requires a calm and understand approach
- Adaptability: Every day will be different, and you’ll need to think on your feet, supporting students with tailored strategies to meet their unique challenges
- Empathy and Commitment: Building trusting relationships with students is key, as is your commitment to their personal and academic growth
- Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to support students, helping them stay on track with their learning
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
- Develop strategies to manage disruptive behaviour, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment
- Support students’ emotional and social development, helping them build confidence and self-esteem
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans tailor to each students needs
