The Department

The Broadway Learning Resource Centre is a well-used and well-resourced space catering for 1250 students. It operates as an independent learning space and a key resource in supporting inclusion of all students. It also offers meeting space and provides a safe haven for quiet study.

Following the promotion of the LRC manager, we are looking for a qualified and experienced specialist with a commitment and the aptitude to develop the LRC’s out of hours delivery as well as lead on school literacy co-ordination and strategy.

The Role

You will:

  • Be educated to degree level (Librarianship) and ideally a member of CILIP
  • Have experience of library management and supporting young people with literacy
  • Have a wide knowledge of and love for literature and learning
  • Have excellent planning and organising and budget management skills
  • Able to manage effective working relationships with students and staff at all levels
  • Be a resourceful, creative and passionate advocate for improving literacy within the school and the promoting reading within the community
