The Department
The Broadway Learning Resource Centre is a well-used and well-resourced space catering for 1250 students. It operates as an independent learning space and a key resource in supporting inclusion of all students. It also offers meeting space and provides a safe haven for quiet study.Following the promotion of the LRC manager, we are looking for a qualified and experienced specialist with a commitment and the aptitude to develop the LRC’s out of hours delivery as well as lead on school literacy co-ordination and strategy.
The Role
You will:- Be educated to degree level (Librarianship) and ideally a member of CILIP
- Have experience of library management and supporting young people with literacy
- Have a wide knowledge of and love for literature and learning
- Have excellent planning and organising and budget management skills
- Able to manage effective working relationships with students and staff at all levels
- Be a resourceful, creative and passionate advocate for improving literacy within the school and the promoting reading within the community
