We need dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Support Workers to join our special educational needs schools in Bradford. We offer both full-time and part-time positions to accommodate your schedule.
  • As an Educational Support Worker, you will support students with SEN, complex needs, medical conditions, Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and behavioural issues in special schools.
  • Your role will be crucial in helping these students reach their full potential, working closely with teaching staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing personalised learning activities for students with SEN.
  • Provide direct support to students through one-on-one and small group interactions to address their specific needs.
  • Help create and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
  • Support classroom management and handle routine administrative tasks.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Previous experience working with young people or adults with SEN/complex needs is essential.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management principles and positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Level 2 Team Teach training is preferred, or willingness to undertake the training provided by Veritas.
  • Safeguarding training is essential, and we can offer this training through Veritas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the role's dynamic nature.
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK is required.
  • A straightforward and efficient registration process.
  • Support from an experienced compliance and vetting team throughout the registration and booking process.
  • Flexible hours with both part-time and full-time roles available.
  • A term-time schedule that aligns with the school year.
  • Access to online CPD courses, including safeguarding, to enhance your professional development.
  • In-house Level 2 Team Teach training delivered by our expert trainers.
  • Support from a specialist SEND consultant with extensive experience in special schools and alternative provisions.
  • Opportunities to work across a diverse range of schools in Bradford, Kirklees, and Leeds.
  • Temporary to permanent, full-time, and part-time positions are available.
