Teaching Personnel is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated English Graduate to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time position begins in March and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the role to become permanent based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with teachers to enhance students’ learning experiences.
- Provide one-to-one and small group intervention sessions to help students improve in areas such as literacy, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
- Assist in planning and preparing engaging and creative resources tailored to the needs of individual students.
- Encourage a love of literature and language by promoting active participation in lessons and fostering a growth mindset.
- Support students with diverse needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they can fully engage with the curriculum.
- Help monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to teachers and contributing to individual learning plans.
- Facilitate exam preparation by leading revision sessions and offering targeted support for GCSE English Language and Literature.
- Play an active role in extracurricular activities, such as reading clubs or drama productions, to enrich the school experience for students.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that motivates students to achieve their potential.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in English, Literature, Creative Writing, or a related discipline.
- Be passionate about education and have a genuine interest in working with young people.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be proactive, adaptable, and patient, with a strong ability to engage and inspire students.
- Previous experience working with young people, though not essential, will be highly valued.
- Have a solid understanding of the English curriculum and a love for literature and language.
