About Myself
Im a 17 year old male living with my family in the Merthyr area.My social worker and I have decided that I need help to develop my independent living and social skills.
I am looking for a Personal Assistant to help me to be independent at home and also take me out in the community as I lack the skills and experience to keep myself safe in the community and will require support to do this in a planned and supervised way.
I have a diagnosis of ASD and Anxiety. It takes me time to build a relationship with those who are new to me, as a result, my verbal communication can be limited. I can sometimes be very quiet until I know you and I find it difficult to express myself.I can get anxious and frustrated in new situations or when trying to learn new skills I will need reassurance at these times.
Tasks and Duties
I would like to employ a Personal Assistant to help me in the following areas: To help me manage my own money, advice and guidance.
To help develop social networks accessing the local community and develop my ability to assess and manage risk.
To support me in helping manage my anxiety and emotions and develop coping strategiesTo help me learn to complete household tasks such as making snacks and drinks.
To plan with me activities that encourage my development of social skills and personal safety. To enable me to be more independent from my parents and to be able go on activities on my choosing.
Working Hours / Pay of Rate
8 Hours per week and additional hours to cover annual leave/sickness£13.50 per hour plus mileage allowance

About The jobSalary Frequency Calendar Monthly.
Successful applicant will be subject to a three-month trial period.
Applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS police check at no cost to yourself.
