UK & European Planner

Up to £35,000 plus access to Sage benefits

If you love the nitty gritty of a busy planning office and want to work for a growing and very team spirited business, this is the role for you.

• Plan the daily driver/vehicle workload for circa 25 artic vehicles using Roadrunner TMS to plan and allocate all work
• Organise both outbound and return loads
• Take calls outside of normal work hours (weekday and weekend) on rota - Paid
• Liaise with internal account managers
• Monitor / regulate driver hours to comply with legislation.
• Create load plans and all documentation.
• Review cost effectiveness of planned runs and monitor to ensure load efficiency & vehicle utilisation
• Ensure European haulage documentation is accurate and completed in time
• Ensure all required transport data and management information is prepared, maintained, and updated in accordance with the requirements of the company's transport management software
• Provide updates and reports to the Transport Planning Manager as required.
• Undertake general admin within the Transport department

• Be driven and ambitious with a keen commercial eye
• Possess sound geographic knowledge
• Have experience with general haulage both in the UK & Europe

• Be able to work proactively at all times
• Be able to act calmly when under pressure
• Possess excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Have strong IT skills
• Have at least 3 years Transport Planning experience
