We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to lead complex engineering projects with a strong emphasis on Requirements Management and Verification & Validation (V&V). With over 10 years of experience across the full Systems Engineering Lifecycle, the ideal candidate will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions for defence projects.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements management, analysis, and engineering activities, ensuring traceability and compliance with standards.
- Develop and implement Verification & Validation strategies, including test planning, execution, and reporting, in alignment with project objectives.
- Drive the development of qualification strategies and Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) processes for defence and aerospace projects.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including qualification strategies, test plans, and system specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across government, industry, and suppliers to align project goals with customer needs.
- Participate in and lead system integration readiness reviews and defect management processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering subject, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role within industries such as defence, aerospace, or maritime.
- Strong knowledge of requirements, system design, integration and systems testing, and validation processes.
- Proficiency with requirements management tools, particularly IBM DOORS.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Product safety and risk assessment methodologies.
- Knowledge of Information Assurance and Product Security.
