Your role
Your Administration Officer role and Level 3 Apprenticeship are combined as one. An Apprenticeship is a job with training and a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining experience and an externally recognised qualification.

You will have regular contact with court / tribunal users, which could include members of the Judiciary and the legal profession.
You will be adaptable, able to multi-task and effectively carry out a variety of duties, which will include:- Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings and meetings
- Creating and updating records on our in-house computer system and data input
- Resulting courts accurately, interpreting accurately the information required on a court file.
- Checking and verifying documents, records, accounts, claims and returns for approval, results, statistics, plans etc. against criteria, regulations or procedures.
- Collecting and assembling information for returns, results, accounts, statements, warrants, statistical analysis, reports, etc
- Communicating with the Public, the Judiciary, other Court and Tribunal Users and Representatives of other Agencies and Organisations
Your skills and experience
With a friendly and approachable manner, you’ll have good written and verbal communication skills with a desire to deliver proactive and effective support to customers by phone and email. You’ll be skilled in organising your time, prioritising efficiently, able to multi-task and adapt to using various software packages.You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and helping court users navigate the justice system.

These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full time working hours are 37 hours per week. We are unable to offer these posts on a part-time basis.
Eligibility:To be eligible to undertake this role as an Apprenticeship you must:
- Have lived in UK/EEA for 3 years. This is the residency requirement for UK/Irish Nationals. If you are a Non-UK/Irish National please consult the apprenticeship funding rules to find out if you’re eligible.
- The apprenticeship must provide you with new learning.
- Not be doing other studies at same time.
- Not have previous qualifications in a similar subject at same level or above.
- To complete your apprenticeship, you’ll need to undertake Functional Skills in Maths and English. If you can provide our training provider with proof of GCSE English and Maths Grade 4/C or above (or equivalents), you’ll be exempt from this requirement.
