Job overview
The Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health (ALDH) Service is a centre of excellence for specialist learning disability health needs.We cover 3 localities where multidisciplinary teams enable our service users to access health services through direct care, liaison with other services and offering support and training on how to work with people who have a learning disability and how to make reasonable adjustments.
The service prides itself on delivering high quality support to service users with a variety of physical and mental health issues alongside their Learning Disability.All staff are required to use a range of communication and listening skills to work effectively with our service users.
Where necessary you will be required to work at other bases or work remotely from home.
Main duties of the job
The Physiotherapy Team consists of practitioners with specialist experience of working with Adults with a Learning Disability whose needs are unable to be met by mainstream services with reasonable adjustments.The team supports individuals, families and carers to understand an individual’s physiotherapy needs and identify person centred treatment plans to be implemented into an individual physiotherapy plan.
Service hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

- Church House 1 Church Road Soundwell Bristol BS16 4RH

Clinical
Essential criteria- Has access to a car to access the community
- Has HCPC registration
- Has experience as a Band 6 / Senior Physiotherapist
- Has experience working with the LD community
- Has post graduation qualifications linked to LD Physiotherapy
Travel
