Psychology Graduate - SEN Support Assistant | Newham | Daily Rate £105-£115

Are you a Psychology Graduate with a deep interest in child development, SEN, or mental health? Would you thrive in a hands-on, meaningful role supporting pupils with additional needs?

A nurturing and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Newham is looking for a compassionate and driven Psychology Graduate to join their SEN support team from September 2025. This full-time, term-time only role is ideal for aspiring educational or clinical psychologists, SEN teachers, or mental health professionals.

You'll gain direct experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs, working closely with experienced SENCOs, teachers, and external specialists.

Role Overview:

  • Psychology Graduate SEN Support Assistant
  • Based in Newham (well-connected location)
  • £105-£115 per day (based on experience)
  • Full-time, term-time only
  • Start date: September 2025
  • 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Help pupils regulate emotions, improve learning engagement, and build confidence
  • Observe and support therapeutic interventions in action

Person Specification:

  • Degree in Psychology or related discipline (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Strong understanding of SEN, mental health, and behaviour needs
  • Emotionally intelligent, empathetic, and calm under pressure
  • Clear communicator with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Passionate about inclusion and long-term development in education or psychology
  • Eager to learn from experienced practitioners and apply theory to real-world contexts
