Our busy District Nursing teams in Poole Central (Alderney Hospital) are looking for Band 5 community Staff Nurses to join their teams. Applicants can be newly qualified, or experienced, as full training and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.

This is a full time or part-time post. The post holder may be required to

work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro rata. Our shift covers 8am until 8pm.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Applications from candidates that require current Skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.

The successful individual must be able to drive and have access to a car.

With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid upskilling and support with new skills. Newly qualified staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a specific clinical upskilling program to support their transition from student to RGN.

The role includes, wound care, palliative care, IV drug administration, medication/ injection administration, diabetes management and many other diverse skills.

To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery

which always considers people’s safety, privacy, and dignity.

To undertake assessment of patients / service users care needs and
develop programmes of care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care

team.

To provide advice to patients/ service users and carers regarding their

care.

To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a

range of settings.

Provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical support to students and

junior staff in the team.
