Hairdresser/Barber/Beauty Therapist | Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
The role entails the individual to work independently, use their own initiative and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of high risk patients in high secure care.
- Trained to NVQ Level III in hairdressing/barbering or equivalent or equivalent experience, GCSE/GCE or equivalent in English.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload and the work of others, manage own time effectively under supervision.
- To work under the direction and leadership of registered professional undertaking duties as requested and delegated.
- Good general educational background, effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of liaising with other departments and services and professional colleagues
- Ability to set and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- Significant experience and positive attitude of working with high risk mentally disordered offenders. To have a basic understanding of the different types of mental illness and maintain an understanding and caring approach.
- Significant experience of developing and delivering pre-engagement therapeutic programmes
- Skilled at interpersonal relationships with service users
- Adaptability, flexibility good time management skills
- Self-Motivated
- Recording of statistical information e.g. Attendance records
- Basic IT skills to include word and email.
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness in line with infection prevention and control guidelines.
