An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and experienced HR professional to join our dedicated Employee Relations (ER) team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your HR career, and offers both flexible and hybrid working in a supportive environment within a friendly team.

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is growing, with more than 13,000 members of staff; working within our team you will be responsible for advising and supporting managers to ensure appropriate responses to any related employment issues that arise.

Working in a busy and challenging environment, you will provide expert HR advice and work closely with managers on a wide range of employee relations issues. With direction and guidance by an Employee Relations Manager, you will be responsible for a large portfolio of ER casework, providing a high quality service whilst coaching managers to provide safe and consistent advice, including sickness absence management, disciplinary, informal grievances and capability processes.

The Employee Relations team is instrumental in embedding the NHS People Plan, and the Trust's own values – Together Safe, Kind, Excellent, and your role will contribute towards our Just and Learning Culture.

To provide support and assistance on a range of employment related issues such as capability, disciplinary and grievance.

To robustly support case management of routine employee relations issues in collaboration with Employee Relations Managers and line managers across the Trust.

Ideally, you will have an understanding of employment law, be CIPD qualified or have substantial proven experience of working within HR managing a caseload. The Employee Relation Advisor role will suit someone with excellent communication skills, who is agile in their approach and able to translate service issues into proactive solutions whilst supporting and educating managers through our HR processes.

You will need to be methodical, organised and demonstrate a strong ability to prioritise.
