Job overview
It is an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk, Young Adults Mental Health Services's Team ( YAMHS) who work with Young Adults age of 18 to 25 years old.
East Suffolk CFYP has dedicated a lot time and effort to develop Young Adults pathway. Clinical Treatment Pathways are in place.
Community Team Manager for Central YAMHS will be responsible for the operational management of the service delivery within the service.
To provide visible leadership, promoting a values based culture and acting as a role model within the environment.
Responsible for leading and managing the team, ensuring they are suitably trained, informed and competent to carry out the full range of duty and that there is a clear processes in place for regular and effective supervision, appraisal, objective setting and personal development planning.
Responsible for ensuring safe staffing levels are maintained according to service budget.
Responsible for ensuring processes are in place to allocate new caseloads and efficient use of resources to ensure caseloads and the management of caseloads remain safe.
Ensuring care is delivered in a patient centred framework involving service users, families and carers.
Main duties of the job
To ensure safe caring, responsive, high quality service is provided to service users, their families and carers within the clinical environment by ensuring compliance with Statutory and Regulatory requirements and Trust Policies, pathways, standard operating procedures and protocols.
They will allocate work accordingly within the team to ensure effective and efficient use of resources to ensure service users and carers needs are met, and monitor the team’s contribution and performance to the overall objectives of the Trust.
The Community Team Manager will provide professional governance and leadership within their area

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Nursing Degree or equivalent, Dip SW, or Dip OT, or equivalent or HCPC registered
- Experience in working within Community Mental Health Services
- Ongoing professional development, Higher degree or post graduate certificate in area of clinical / therapeutic practice
- Post basic teaching qualification
- ILM certificate in management or equivalent
Expereince
Essential criteria- Able to demonstrate experience at a senior clinical level including staff management / supervision experience
- Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Evidence of providing leadership in a Mental Health care environment including service development
- Previous experience of working with Complex case management
Skills
Essential criteria- Competent and effective treatment skills
- Care planning skills

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £16 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
