As a Digital Change Manager (Clinical), you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the digital transformation and adoption of the EPR system at the Trust. You will work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure successful change management processes, effective staff engagement, and smooth transitions to new digital ways of working.Your role will be key to supporting the Trust in maximizing the benefits of the EPR system, enhancing patient care, and improving workflow efficiencies.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be accountable to the EPR team for successful delivery in a number of work areas. Whilst specific targets and objectives will change, the core duties and responsibilities are:
To work with the D&I and EPR projects team, in partnership with clinical services and other partners, to ensure the delivery of transformational change. Manages a range of change plans using advanced transformation, change and project management skills; ensuring that the capacity to accept change is managed and stakeholder engagement is maintained throughout.
These projects can be complicated and diverse implementations and the post holder will be expected to convey the detailed strategic targets and plans, which must reflect the subtleties of individual departments and different staff groups whilst ensuring alignment of activity with organisational strategic objectives
To assure the Chief Digital Officer/EPR Programme Board on the progress of change projects under its governance by leading an organisational readiness assessment and business assurance process for the delivery of capability and benefit reviews.
Work with Benefits Lead to ensure that benefits are identified for the business case and are subsequently tracked and managed
To be responsible for change policy implementation and development across the D&I Service, including the development of national performance/improvement policies which might impact across the Trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities- Creates and delivers the Digital Transformation Strategy ensuring alignment with clinical and digital strategies to ensure enhanced use of digital to aid patient care
- Creates and manage change plans, providing the quality assessment and evaluation of digital Implementations and Innovations, ensuring that key target dates, business objectives and benefits are achieved.
- Works with Project Managers and members of the Implementation Teams to develop plans and strategies that will support the delivery of project benefits on time and to budget ensuring the project, products and outcomes are delivered within quality, time and cost constraints and fully aligned to the D&I and EPR Programme vision and Trust objectives.
- Works with Chief Digital Officer and relevant project teams to develop the change and transformation plans and strategies necessary to implement an Electronic Patient Record across the Trust. This will be an extremely diverse implementation and the post holder will be expected to convey the detailed strategic targets and plans, which must reflect the subtleties of individual departments and different staff groups
- Works with relevant Service Lines to ensure that there is capacity within the areas impacted to take on change and ensure that any disbenefits are identified and managed.
- Facilitates the development of transformation plans in response to the needs and focus identified by UHP D&I services or partners across the Health and Care system.
- Using appropriate methodologies and techniques ensure that the change management strategies and change plans align to the Digital Strategy and the strategic objectives of the Trust.
- Delivery of multi-agency transformation projects as part of emerging system-wide change plans as required.
- Maps activity and identifies gaps between current and future business processes at all stages of digital Implementations and Innovations
Person specification
Knowledge and Exprience
Essential criteria- Excellent proven knowledge of health service management, including change management and workforce re-design, acquired through training and significant NHS experience.
- Excellent change management skills
- Significant demonstrable people management experience
- Demonstrable experience of managing a diverse team
- Demonstrable experience of coaching, mentoring and developing staff.
- Demonstrable experience of devising training and development programmes for all levels of staff
- Demonstrable experience of leading and motivating staff, ensuring the planning and delivery of a range of work programmes within agreed timescales
- Significant demonstrable experience of leading system reform and service redesign programmes with demonstrable outcomes
- Proven record of working collaboratively with services and key stakeholders to deliver change
- Demonstrable experience of presenting information at a high level (e.g. Committee/Board level) and to large groups.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering productivity gains and efficiency improvements
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Post Graduate Master’s Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Change Management Qualification,
- Evidence of continuing professional development
