Job Title: Facilities Lead
Degree in facilities management, business studies, or a related field, or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., BIFM).
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
Location: WolverhamptonEmployment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and compliant completion of tasks
- Keep detailed records of property assets and conditions, ensuring the asset register is regularly updated
- Ensure all buildings meet legislative and statutory requirements
- Conduct routine room inspections with accommodation leads.
- Oversee property insurance, repair costs, and maintenance plans
- Develop and manage a preferred contractor list, ensuring efficient service delivery through Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Manage external services such as cleaning, waste disposal, security, and building maintenance
- Lead procurement and purchasing processes for facilities management contractors
- Assist in budgeting for property-related costs, including maintenance and health & safety expenditures
- Ensure accident and incident reports are completed and corrective actions are implemented
- Promote and maintain health & safety compliance across multiple facilities
- Assist in improving facilities provision in collaboration with accommodation leads.
- Ensure personal and professional development by undertaking relevant training.
- Proven experience in facilities and property management, with strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including risk assessment and fire management regulations.
- Experience in managing budgets and procurement processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Degree in facilities management, business studies, or a related field, or relevant professional qualifications (e.g., BIFM).
Professional health and safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
