Robert Half are recruiting for an experienced Interim Accountant/Finance Manager to support a well-established finance team of 4 through a transitional period. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong reconciliation expertise and proven leadership experience.

• Job Title: Interim Accountant/Finance Manager
• Location: Central Bath (No parking)
• Contract: Interim (3-6 months)
• Start Date: Week commencing 22nd April (Earlier start possible)
• Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
• Day Rate: £300-350pd (Via Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support a team of 4 finance professionals.
• Perform and review high-volume bank reconciliations (circa 40 accs per day).
• Assess and enhance reconciliation processes currently in place.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with one specific account that is not reconciling correctly.
• Provide stability and leadership following the departure of the previous finance manager.
• Work collaboratively with operations and senior stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified accountant or QBE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong reconciliation experience.
• Confident in managing and mentoring small finance teams.
• Previous experience in Finance manager or Interim Senior Accountant capacity.
• Strong process improvement mindset.
• Available to start by late April (sooner if possible).
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
