The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for compliance with regulatory requirements and providing advice on employment law, company policy/procedure to Human Resources and Leadership. The role provides direct advisory support to an HR team supporting 1,000- 3,000 of our people and reporting to an ER CL8 Advisor.The role will also include some investigation responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on the practical application of employment law and/or policy to a given business/individual scenario.
- Ensure legal compliance as it relates to regulatory requirements.
- Act as case manager for all disciplinary and grievance cases within your area of responsibility, ensuring company policy and procedure are followed and that fair and reasonable outcomes are reached. This will include managing sensitive cases involving the Global Conduct Counts Matter team (GCCM).
- Act as an advisor on headcount programmes including preparation of documents, briefing HR partners and supporting the end to end process
- Develop personal expertise in one or more areas of employment law or Accenture HR practice to provide subject matter expertise to the Employee Relations Team.
- Take responsibility for allocated tasks or lead HR change projects as required.
- Research and assess any employment claims and present findings to internal and/or external legal counsel to assess risk.
- Proactively identify the need for new policies and procedures according to business need, best practice and changes in legislation.
- Contribute to the development of HR Policies and procedures to ensure HR best practice is achieved in all aspects of the business.
- Develop contacts with retained legal advisors and external organizations involved in legal disputes and litigation.
- Coach HR Partners to develop their understanding of policy/procedure and employment law and their practical application in the business.
- Support ER investigations as required.
