Are you a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Teaching Personnel to support children with SEN in a mainstream classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to children with SEN, both in and outside of the classroom.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities.
  • Support small group interventions, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.
  • Help to implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policy.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and feedback.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with children with SEN.
  • A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and how to support children with a range of abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
