HaysFinance are partnering with a public sector organisation who are looking to adda permanent Finance Manager to their team.
Your new role
AsFinance Manager, you will be joining an extremely ambitious organisation whoare looking for an outstanding individual and a highly-skilled professional. That can spearhead the growth and development of the organisation.
Main responsibilities include:
- Support the COO in the management of financial operations within the wider organisation and individual sites
- To work with individual business managers to set standards and set best practice and knowledge of finance, policies and procedures.
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to for the best financial results as well as social value
- Support the executive team, leadership team and central team in maintaining an inclusive culture
- Role model integrity and commitment to the vision, values and this to the organisation
- Support with the development of systems and procedures to ensure efficient, effective and accurate management of finance
- Assist the COO with the collation of the informant or other external returns
- Responsibility for budgeting & forecasting
- Use the agreed budget to actively monitor and control performance to achieve the best value
- Undertaking month-end reconciliations
- An accountancy degree or qualification would be advantageous (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT)
- Ideally, experience of working within a public sector, charity or not-for-profit organisation, but other industry sectors will be considered
- Experience of using financial and other ICT packages
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
