CYP Co-Production and Community Engagement Manager

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and deliver co-production and engagement projects across the CYP division.
- Manage the expert-by-experience team and oversee training for all stakeholders on co-production practices.
- Embed feedback mechanisms and analyze service user insights to shape service delivery.
- Support the Youth Board and establish the Parent and Carer Board to ensure representation and inclusivity.
- Build and nurture partnerships with local schools, faith groups, and community organizations.
- Drive research initiatives that advance the evidence base for co-production models and best practices.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, from service users to national organizations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (essential); Master’s degree and/or project management qualification (desirable).
- Experience: Proven expertise in co-production, community engagement, and working with underserved populations.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to analyze data and produce actionable insights.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Further training or equivalent experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes
- Master’s qualification in health-related degree or equivalent experience
- Project management qualification e.g. Prince 2
Personal Qualities
Essential criteria- Proven organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines.
- Emotional intelligence and always remain professional and aligned with Trust values in all interactions
- To be able to express tenacity and assertiveness in an appropriate and effective manner

Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria- experience of setting up engagement projects and youth board
- Experience of working in health or social care services
- Experience of working within the Mental Health Provider Services particularly working with volunteers, service users and carers/families
- Facilitating service users, groups and meetings
- Practical experience of running patient surveys and patient experience projects, patient and carer groups, networks and forums
- Working as a project coordinator or support officer
- Establishing general administrative systems and processes
- To have experience of managing major change programs in large corporate environments
- Experience of leading on change management at a service/system level
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria- Knowledge of patient experience data collection and analysis techniques and approaches to involvement and engagement
- A high level ability to communicate effectively highly technical and clinically sensitive information within and outside the NHS
- An understanding of the application of the principles of Equal Opportunities
- Highly developed personal skills to act with tact and sensitivity when dealing with upsetting and sensitive situations and incidents.
- Ability to develop and use complex multi-media materials for presentations in public, professional and academic settings

Essential criteria- Ability to work flexibly including travel to multiple sites to coincide with the accessibility of healthcare professionals, patients and the public.
- Ability to work on own initiative, manage time effectively, to work concurrently on an umber of priorities, to meet deadlines and to produce high quality outcomes to defined specifications.
