Horticulture Tutor - Stockport

Morgan Hunt have partnered with an established charity who are seeking to recruit a Horticulture Tutor in Stockport. This is a full time permanent role working across 2 sites for 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) and Fridays from home. The salary for this role is paying up to £26,000.

The primary function of this role is to deliver a Horticulture programme to post 16 learners. Due to the niche nature of this role the client is looking for candidates which have previously worked within Horticulture that are looking to transition into teaching and full training will be provided.

The Horticulture Tutor will be responsible for:

  • designing, planning and delivering interactive lessons to learners studying Horticulture
  • contributing to the course review process, curriculum development and quality assurance in line with the organisations policies and procedures
  • ensuring learners documentation is correct completed to ensure eligibility for funding
  • attending regular meetings with the quality team

The Horticulture Tutor will need to hold:

  • a Level 3 qualification in Horticulture although candidates with a Level 2 Horticulture will be considered
  • experience of working within a Horticulture setting preferably up to a management level
  • ideally a teaching or assessing qualification although candidates without either will still be considered and full training will be provided

In return the Horticulture Tutor will receive:

  • An annual salary of up to £26,000
