Why Work with Us?

At our organisation, we're not just offering a job; we're offering a career. We believe in an environment where our employees feel valued and supported to make a real impact. Here's what makes us stand out:

About the Role

You'll be supporting a gentleman in his 40s who lives in his own home in Hemel Hempstead. He has a big garden and a love for the outdoors, so if you enjoy nature, you'll be in good company! This is a 1-to-1 support role where your support will help him lead a fulfilling, independent life.

He has a wide range of interests including going on holidays (he's been to Prague and Benidorm!), Listening to music on his CD player and adding to his collection, playing board games and enjoying long walks in his local community and spending time with his family, who are actively involved in his life.

This role offers flexibility with a mixture of long shifts and shorter shifts. You'll work a weekend once a month, including a 14-hour shift (7:30am - 10pm, with a sleep-in, finishing at 7:30am the next day). We ensure that shift patterns are provided at least 4 weeks in advance, so you can plan your life around your work.

As a Support Worker, you'll be making a genuine difference in someone's life every day. You'll support one individual, helping them lead a fulfilling, independent life while working alongside a supportive team. Here's a glimpse of what your role will involve:

  • You'll help with essential day-to-day tasks such as bathing, showering, and other personal care, ensuring the person you support feels comfortable and maintains their dignity.
  • You'll support with the safe and timely administration of oral medication, following all necessary procedures.
  • The person you'll be supporting has a love for cooking! You'll get to join in and encourage them in the kitchen, helping to prepare meals together. If you have a passion for food, this is a perfect way to share that enthusiasm.
