Job Description
In this Payroll Officer position based in Sheffield, main responsibilities will include;- Accurate processing of monthly payroll ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
- Managing pension schemes and processing statutory payments.
- Assisting with end of year payroll processing.
- Regularly updating payroll records and databases.
- Addressing employee queries regarding payroll and related financial matters.
- Liaising with HR and other departments for integrated financial management.
- Preparing reports for senior management as required.
- Continuously improving payroll processes and systems for increased efficiency.
The Successful Applicant
We're looking for:
- Proven experience in payroll administration within the public sector.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software systems and MS Office proficiency.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to address payroll queries effectively.
- A competitive salary between £29,000 - £31,000 per annum.
