Service Assistant
Summary
We’re looking for a Service Assistant to join us at Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire to help busy teams throughout our visitor operations.
Salary: £4,784.00/ £11.50 an hourDuration: Fixed-term contract until 31 January 2026
Hours: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. You'll work 416 hours over the duration of the contract, and on average, you'll work 8 hours per week / roughly 2 shifts per week, but again this will be flexible depending on operational demand.Your rota pattern will cover Monday – Friday.

What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be working as part of the Visitor Operations team, alongside another Service Assistant. You’ll be providing excellent customer service to visitors by giving telephone and e-mail support for the various enquiries and bookings that come in, and playing a key part in our groups and tours bookings process.
What you'll be doing
The core part of your job is to give vital and positive support to your colleagues, wherever you’re needed, with a focus on helping visitors and answering their enquiries prior to their visit to us.
No two days will be the same. You can expect to meet many different people and gain experience in different visitor areas.
Most importantly, you’ll be talking to visitors, answering their questions and making sure they can find everything they need to enjoy their day.
